Objective:To evaluate sequential changes and due to estimate the frequencies of clinical and some commonly biological variables in patients With Crimean Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF), an emerging viral infection in Iran.Method:Prospective, observational (descriptive) study was done of clinical symptoms and signs and complete blood count, serum alanine aminotransfrase (ALT) aspartate aminotransferase (AST), creatinin kinase (CPK), lactic dehydrogenase (LDH), sodium (Na), potassium (K), creatinine, Alkaline phosphatose, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), prothrombin time (PT), partial thramboplastin time (PTT) and urine analysis (UA) at first day of admission and during hospitatization of 30 cases with Crimean - Congo hemorrhagic fever .Results:Patients had sudden onset of illness with fever (100 ), severe headache (83.3 ) and myalgia (70 ); nausea, vomiting, rigors, chilly sensation and diarrhea were also common. Mood disorder was the least common clinical change. Incubation period was 9.53 ▒ 4.54 day. There were significant falls in mean blood leulcocyte count, mean hemoglobin, mean platelet count and polymorphonuclear blood cells. There were significant increase in lymphocytes, SGOT, SGPT, CPK, LDH, PT and PTT. There were no significant change in other biological variables except hyperkalemia in fatal cases with significant increase in serum BUN and creatinine. Proteinurea and hematuria were the most abnormal finding in UA test. Case fatality rate was 16.57. Deaths occurred at days 6-8 of illness. Conclusion: Changes in clinical and biologic variables were evident at an earlystage of disease and are more severe changes in fatal cases ..
