Abstract

Introduction: any operation leads to body stress and tissue injury that causes pain and many complications due to pain.The Glucocorticoids such as Dexamethasone are strong anti-inflammatory agents which can be used for short time postoperative pain control in various surgeries. Main Purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of administration of IV (Intra Venous) Dexamethasone on reduction of pain after cesarean.Materials and Methods: A double-blind prospective randomized clinical trial was performed on 60 patients were candidated for elective caesarean section.Patients were randomly divided into two groups of A (treatment:8 mg IV Dexamethasone) and B (control: 2 cc IV Normal Satin). In both groups variables such as MAP, I-IR, RR, pain and vomiting severity (based an VAS) were recorded in different time points during first 24 hours after operation. Repeated and compared using.
