Number of diagnostic Scales or questionnaire has been developed in recent years to assess mobile phone dependency. A valid and reliable assessment instrument correspondence Iranian culture is essential. The aim of our study was to validate of Iranian version of Cell Phone Dependency Questionnaire. In this cross-sectional study, data were collected from 784 students who are studying in 4 main Isfahan universities. Participants completed demographic questionnaire, CPDQ anonymously. To analysis data we have used concurrent validity, factor analysis, internal consistency, split half and test-retest. We extracted three factors including Salience, Overusing for cell phone, compulsive use of SMS. Cronbach's alpha of the CPDQ is .88 (Cronbach's alpha of the factors were .85, .70, .76 respectively). using the CPDQ confirmed to be a reliable questionnaire to assess the extent of problems caused by the "misuse" of the cell phone in Iranian society.
